enjoy our range of fun, hands-on craft workshops, which will engage your senses, personal creativity, and help you create your own unique craft piece to take home.
Our Lab in the Center of Florence
Next to one of the most important "squares" of Florence, you can have the opportunity to discover a unique and welcoming space, where Renaissance architecture has left recognizable and unique traces
Together with different local artisans happy to share their great experiences, you can discover typical and traditional artisan techniques by participating in our workshops, that mix together a variety of techniques in order to acquire skills and take home a unique memory of Florence with you, in a very special place at Sol Gabriel's Studio, in a relaxed, friendly and productive atmosphere
To reach our Lab it is important to know you need to be able to walk down stairs
The workshops are created for a maximum of 3 participants,
this is to have an immersive experience and also the possibility of the instructor to closely follow each participant in the realization of their own project
Materials and tools will be available throughout the workshops and are included in on the Workshop fee.

Workshop
“Leather for fun”
You will be able to develop your own leather keychain or small wallet, using the leather, accessories and personalization as you wish!
Leather Techniques
You will know the fundamentals
to start working leather material, tools
needed for cutting, sewing and finishing.

in the desired material.

Workshop
“shoemaking”
Shoemaking sandal workshops offer a blend of artistic expression and practical craftsmanship.
Participants not only walk away with a beautifully crafted pair of sandals but also a deeper appreciation for the art of shoemaking.
Whether you're interested in fashion, DIY projects, or simply exploring a new hobby, these workshops provide a memorable and educational experience.
Duration:
3 hours of workshop
In our workshop, in groups of three or four participants, you will make a pair of leather sandals from start to finish.
A kit with all the necessary will be waiting for you at the beginning of the workshop: the leather soles to adapt to your feet, the different options for making your upper, the reinforcements and all the assembly and finishing tools.
First you will make your choice of leathers, you will make the pattern paper suitable for your feet, the cutting of the soles, the uppers and finally the hand assembly, finishing and fitting.
What do you learn?
After purchasing the garment you prefer, we go to the laboratory and start the transformation, by using sewing machine, threads, needles, accessories and a lot of creativity.
At the end of this Workshop you will take home a Upcycled garment, made by you with the help of the instructor, and original and unique Souvenir of Florence
"Revamp & Renew"
Upcycling Fashion Workshop with Flea Market Exploration, in the Center of FLORENCE"
This is a full immersion and sustainable workshop, which will let you discover the famous "Bancarelle" (stalls) of second-hand clothes in a very famous open-air market, here in Florence.

Use of second-hand garment, a lot of creativity combined with the help of the instructor, textile materials such as ribbons, fabrics and accessories, will be an opportunity to experience a moment of true fashion creation, and take home not only a new garment but also smart techniques and tips for moving forward with your new sustainable wardrobe
